@kitsebastianpop just released their new Album on @brainfeederrecords and we are more than happy to have them on one of our infamous Psychedelic Porn Funk Experiences. 25.10. will be 🔥🌚 🎟️ Ticketlink in bio 🎟️ ‘New Internationale’—their musically irrepressible and emotionally sophisticated third album, and their debut for Brainfeeder—is deliberate in a way Kit Sebastian has never really been. They wrote most of it on the road, energised by the sounds they discovered as they magpied instruments during their travels—Turkish clarinet, santour, oud, gangsa, zither, harpsichord, and on and on. They cut most of the tracks in London during brief breaks, longtime drummer Theo Guttenplan and double bassist David Richardson joining a panoply of horn, string, and percussion players. And during a year off from the road, where K. and Merve could concentrate on making sure the pieces moved together, they decamped to the French countryside for two weeks, leaving the distractions and moodiness of home. They captured vocals for 14 songs there in only half that time. Both Kit Sebastian’s busy touring schedule and subsequent break from it allowed Merve to step fully into these songs and their ever-shifting shapes, her confidence and versatility rising in tandem. Behind the Green Door & Grotto Terrazza present 🩸MINAMI DEUTSCH🩸 Motorik Beat / Kraut Rock (Japan) Everyone has their own imagination about outer space, and each one of us gets to daydream about what exactly floats or exists there. ‘Fortune Goodies’ is @minamideutsch ’s long-awaited 3rd studio album and an encyclopaedia of Krautrock, as band leader Kyotaro Miula describes it. While not all the songs on the record function as straightforward Krautrock this time around, they still manage to capture the spirit and heart of the genre. After relocating from Tokyo to Berlin, Miula’s musical vocabulary has greatly expanded, thus resulting in this ultimate Japanese take on cosmic music in 2022. Minami Deutsch is a Krautrock band from Tokyo. Formed by Kyotaro Miula in 2014, they got their start playing live music on the busy streets of Tokyo. This lead to their participation in Krautrock Night, a party hosted by Tokyo Psych Fest, and later a tour of Taiwan. In September, 2015, they released their first record through the English cult label Cardinal Fuzz Records. They are now part of the Japanese record label @gurugurubrain. Stripped back to the absolute essentials, each song locks squarely in the groove and begins unfurling its color-soaked fractals. There is not a single bum vibe, yet it’s made by human hands and not by machines. It’s how each song breathes and how it grows in the soil that frees it from the cold, mechanical “motorik” stereotype. 🌜WAX MACHINE🌛 24.03.2022, Import Export Munich Brighton’s @waxmachinemusic are a band so steeped in the kernel of psychedelic seep that there’s every indication they may have slipped through a side door in space-time and sprouted anew a few years back on the UK coast. On Earthsong of Silence, their eclecticism incorporates Spiritual Jazz, Krautrock, Tropicália and Library Music, borrowing from dreams and trances to give life to a psychedelic experience that feels hauntingly familiar, yet strikingly new. They pick up right where their last EP’s title track, “Mind Palace,” left them —growing into the mossy eiderdown of the English countryside, delightfully dosed and drenched in the sun that filters through the trees. The flutes, wandering guitars, and jazz touches come rising through the mists with a guiding hand from Kikagaku Moyo’s Go Kurosawa behind the boards. For this warm welcome trip we chose some soulful psychedelia that takes you to orange drenched beaches and azure lagoons. A short break from reality, a daydream of escapism. We keep you updated. 🕺🏻 🔮 MARCOCA 🔮 In a time of made up genres and increasingly entwined music, Marcoca is not even trying to put themselves in to a specific category. Generally they consist of five individual musicians with various tastes and backgrounds, that enjoy their differences and don't worry too much about the outcome. Their second project "Cosmic Blunder" originated out of the urge to merge new psychedelic sounds with elements of funk, jazz and surf rock, while keeping the stuff that worked on the first record in place. The result is a reverb soaked ride through songs that cover the ups and downs of life and all the questions that come along with it. Like no other, they manage to transpire the glorious feeling within the Brazilian music movement of the 60's called Tropicalismo. It is way more than a genre, it is a lifestyle, a cultural attitude and idealist concept that still has its place in our modern world. That is why we would like to invite you to a Brazilian evening with Tropicalia-Psychedelic Records and a live performance by Sessa. Leave your everyday life behind and enjoy the light-footed spirit of Brazil. Grandeza, the debut album by Sao Paulo’s Sessa, points to new, subtle directions for modern Brazilian music – a deep, minimalist, almost insinuated use of the rich textures that define the songwriting history of Brazil, one which Sessa now joins among its most promising new voices. His songs are sung in Portuguese, with visceral, sensual lyrics in the vein of Caetano Veloso, and the melodic flourishes of Tom Jobim and Arthur Verocai. However, the music gets a deliberate minimalist treatment rarely found in contemporary Brazilian music, more reminiscent of the bareness of Leonard Cohen, with touches of tropicalia, psychedelia, and the mystic jazz of Moondog and Pharoah Sanders.
